Over the last few years, I’ve been interested in learning more about new age practices and ancient remedies. It’s been a struggle to find people that are interested in the same thing, so I’ve turned to books to learn. Here are a few of my favorites that have been great resources:
I highly recommend this book for anyone curious about the New Age world! Emma does an incredible job of breaking down everything from numerology to yoga to crystals. She explains everything with a funny yet completely down to earth tone. I’ve recently been really curious about all things New Age, and I’m so glad I got this book. It’s everything you want rolled into one.
Everyone should read this, even if you’re not trying to explore your spiritual side. This book talks about the Law of Attraction and how everything you could hope for is completely attainable. It’s a really inspirational read. I promise after you finish it you’ll feel like you can do anything! The book first came out as a movie (also called “The Secret”), so you can watch that as well for the full effect. I’m currently listening to another one of Rhonda Byrne’s books on tape called “The Power” which is also really great. I try to use her teachings in my everyday life!
This book is awesome if you’re into both crystals and meditation. It gives you tons and tons of mantras to use along side your crystals for every ailment. It’s a wonderful resource if you not only want to learn more about crystals but also want a library of mantras to choose from for your meditation sessions.
I don’t know about you guys, but I was completely confused when I started to learn about chakras. This book is thorough and breaks each chakra down in a manageable way.
This is an absolutely gorgeous book. If I were to ever write a book (hopefully one day!), I would hope it could look like this. There are beautiful pictures to go alongside some really informative chapters – each dedicated to one of 12 herbs. It covers calendula, chamomile (obviously one of my favorites!), cinnamon, dandelion, echinacea, elder flower, ginger, holy basil, lavender, nettle, rose, and turmeric.
This one has been around for a long time and is a classic. I’m pretty sure my mom had this in our house when I was growing up. Perfect for anyone looking to learn a little bit more about essential oils and ways to use them.
This is a great book to use as a resource for everything herbs. I love to flip through this to learn more about hundreds of different herbs and how to use them for healing.
This book does exactly what the title states. It takes you through each chakra and points you to specific crystals and how to use them!
Have you read any of these?
